Business, government, education, organization, ministerial and volunteer leaders in our community will gather on Friday, March 10th as we continue the tradition of discussing issues of importance to Lakewood and the region. This event is co-hosted by the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and Lakewood City Schools.
This year's breakfast will feature a panel discussion about the school district's ELL (English Language Learner) population, the services that the district offers, and how these families enrich our district and community.
English language learners, or ELLs, are students who are unable to communicate fluently or learn effectively in English, who often come from non-English-speaking homes and backgrounds, and who typically require specialized or modified instruction in both the English language and their academic courses. --edglossary.org
Breakfast will be provided by West Shore Career-Tech's Ranger Catering.
