Join us for the second presentation in our 2018 Speaker Series:
Heroin, Fentanyl, Carfentanil: The Triple Threat on Our Doorstep
Luncheon featuring a panel discussion on the opiate crisis and what it means for employers. Hosted by the Cleveland Clinic Lakewood.
Unfortunately, the opiate crisis has wreaked havoc in our region and small business owners are not immune to the affects of this epidemic. New data shows that addiction costs small businesses and organizations billions in profits due to losses in productivity, high turnover rates, theft in the workplace, increases in absenteeism, utilization of sick time, and decreases in quality of work.
With this ever-growing public health crisis, more and more lives are being affected inside the workplace. Organizational involvement is now more important than ever. Dr. Judith Welsh, the Director of the Lakewood Emergency Department, will moderate our panel of distinguished specialist to help us understand the crisis and what the business community can do to help.
Panelist:
Mr. Vince Caraffi: Chair: Cuyahoga County Opiate Task Force
Judge Patrick Carroll: Lakewood Municipal Judge
Ms. Pamela Gill: President & CEO, Recovery Resources
Ms. Erin Helms: Executive Director of the Woodrow Project
The 2018 Speaker Series is made possible with the generous support of Cox Business, Cleveland Clinic Lakewood, and First Federal Lakewood.
